This etching with hand-colouring is hand signed by the artist in pencil "Niki de Saint Phalle" in the lower right margin.
The work was printed in a small edition and each impression was hand painted by Niki de Saint Phalle individually making each one unique.
It is also inscribed “AP” from the edition of ten artists proofs, in the lower left margin.
It is dedicated in pencil “for Ted. with oceans of loves and best wishes for Jan 1. 2000 – your Nikita”.
The paper bears a circular blindstamp in the lower right corner of the sheet.

Provenance: Ted Tourtellotte (1928-2022). Gifted from the artist.
Ted was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma in 1928.
He was a close friend of Niki de Saint Phalle. They first met through a mutual friend, Christian DuMonteil. It was upon Niki’s move to La Jolla, California, near the San Diego house that Ted had retired to, that they became almost inseparable until Niki's passing in 2002.
