Born and grown up in the Langhe, Fossano (CN), on 19/01/1981, Matteo Fieno, known as "the artist of the women", continues to keep his roots there.
Painter increasingly appreciated by critics and art lovers, including Vittorio Sgarbi who compared him to the great artists of the past such as Gauguin, Lautrec, Cézanne and Matisse.
It is not the first time that Prof. Sgarbi meets Matteo Fieno: from selection to Pro Biennale, from the Caravaggio Prize to the Milan Biennale, the artistic path of the artist of the women has already had the opportunity to meet the attentive gaze of the Ferrara critic (Sgarbi) who says of him: "In Fieno's painting there is that strong need for indispensability, because - he is Sgarbi himself who underlines it - in Fieno there is “the" impression in portraying the woman in a certain way, in relation to the environmental circumstance in which she acts".
