Robert Buhley R.A. 1916-1989 was an English born Swiss painter, where he spent most of his working life.  Buhler also lived and painted in London, scene of various landscapes, he also painted a number of portraits, including Bacon, Freedman, Minton and many others.  His London scenes were invariably painted from an upstairs viewpoint saving the cost of a studio, he generally painted in muted colours.
