MARIANO Rodríguez (1912–1990) is a major figure of the Cuban avant-garde, a multifaceted group of artists who were deeply committed to forging a modern Cuban art in the first half of the 20th century.

Mariano has exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, NY and the Museum of Art, San Francisco. His watercolors are on permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, NY. 

MARIANO is part of the pantheon of Cuba's most collectible painters."Mass 1983" is a masterpiece formerly belonging to the family, duly certified & cataloged with export license from the Cuban Ministry of Culture, Department of Cultural Properties.
