A fabulous mid 19th century French Animalier Bronze study of two hunting hounds, a setter and a pointer, flushing a partridge in the undergrowth. The bronze with very fine deep brown lightly rubbed to yellow patination and excellent hand chased surface detail, signed P.J.Mene . This is an important atelier cast from the artist’s own foundry.
