No. 31 from his sketchbook, signed dated 1704

The present drawing comes from a sketchbook by Jacob Toornvliet which contained 62 drawings by the artist and was signed, dated 1704, and inscribed on the titlepage. Most of the sixty-two drawings were executed in red chalk, only a couple were highly finished with wash, as the present sheet, which was page 31 of that album.
