'The 2nd Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair'

As the current interest of art market in Asia increases, leading Asian galleries will gather together at Grand Hyatt Seoul, and hold the second 'Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair (AHAF)' from Aug. 21(Fri.) through Aug. 23(Sun.), 2008.

Grand Hyatt Seoul is the resort hotel which has wonderful environment that offers amusement of the view of Han River and the nature of Namsan located in the center of the city, and it provides unusual enjoyment with its suites. Not like other common art fair that exhibit the art work in white cubes, the AHAF installs the art work in diversified suites such as pictures on the bed and sculpture installed in the bathtub and will provides different kind of fun.

According to the aim of ASIA ART NET which refers to the unification of Asian Art World, the first AHAF was held in New Otani Hotel in Tokyo and will be held in Seoul in this year and in Shanghai in next year. Moreover, AHAF prepared various program such as AHAF auction’ s room, AHAF young artist, and AHAF special lecture, and it will give you the opportunity to experience diversity of the fair.

Over 70 leading Asian galleries participate in the AHAF, which promoted by Art Council Korea (ARKO), Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and collaborated with Grand Hyatt Seoul. The AHAF plans the exchange of Asian art world, and is expected as the role of seeking the vitalization of art market.
