Drawing in all its many forms and in fine form ! For its third edition the Contemporary drawing fair will be opening its doors downtown in Paris. After the Haussmannian apartments in the Avenue d’Iena in 2007 and the office building near Saint-Augustin in 2008, the 2009 edition will be taking up residence in the events center of the Carreau du Temple.

Sixty-three galleries will be investing this typically Parisian center in order to present contemporary drawing in all its diferents shapes and forms, upon various supports and through all imaginable techniques : from works on paper to video, from digital works to wall-drawings. As in the previous years, exhibitors will present the work of one artist at least a third of their stand for visitors to get to know more about the work of a specific artist as a whole.

The contemporary drawing fair aspires in its own way to participate in the writing of the ongoing history of drawing, a medium in its own right and which is strongly inscribed in today’s world by the enthusiasm that it incites both in current artistic creativity and in the fields of architecture, fashion and design.
