Saito did a series of well known prints depicting his home city of Aizu during different seasons. This print is part of his Autumn series. Three of his prints were included in the 1972 Los Angeles County Museum of Art catalogue, "Contemporary Japanese Prints", by George Kuwayama who reported in the catalogue that "Saito Kiyoshi is the most widely known of Japan's contemporary print masters." Saito was also included in "The 30th Exhibition of the Japan Print Association" catalogue in 1962 & identified as a member of the Japan Print Association. Saito is also included in the book "Modern Japanese Prints 1912-1989" by Lawrence Smith with two color photos of his work. 

Here the tree appears to have persimmons on it. The building roof is a dark brown, the tree branches are black, and the persimmons are a dark orange and stand out very boldly.
