Attasit POKPONG - Streets of Bangkok

Attasit Pokpong has become one of Thailand's top contemporary artists. In a region not well known for it's conceptual edge, he has demonstrated an ability to convey ideas which are distinctive, mysterious, and compelling. Pokpong's technical mastery, combined with his fresh take on everyday life, in this part of the world, combine to make his work stimulating, and gorgeous, while at the same time creating a great deal of intrigue. His recent shows worldwide, have sold out. Pokpong shows at Art Basel, both in Miami and in Basel. He is represented worldwide, but, very little of this style of work is available anywhere in the world. His painting are continuing to appreciate, and at this pace, they may very well represent a very stable investment in fine art.
 
These paintings are far more beautiful in person, than they are in the images. The photos just cannot capture the subtle beauty of the work, nor the mastery of the technique.
