Adrienne Anderson (b. 1949 in Richmont, Virginia) 

Adrienne grew up in Atlanta, GA and has traveled extensively through the Middle East, Europe, and Central America. She received bother her BFA and MFA from the University of Georgia. She has held several teaching positions, including at the American InterContinental University in Atlanta and Kennesaw State University. Anderson has had more than 50 solo exhibitions in the United States and Europe. Her work is in many collections including the Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, MO; the Norton Museum Art, West Palm Beach, FL; Montgomery Museum of Art, Montgomery, AL; and Coca Cola Headquarters, Atlanta, GA. In Anderson's complex paintings she combines theme and form, to arrive at images whose narrative fragments challenge the viewer to create his or her unique responses.  Her works juxtapose isolated parts:  hands, heads, birds, flowers, animals - fragments suggestive of a narrative or drama - opening the door for many interpretations.
