Portrait O.K.["A Model"]. Indian ink on paper. 10 x 8". Provenance: Francis Briest, Paris ,lot: 67 28-Apr-1998; BloomsburyNew York, Sale 21.05.08 lot 150 During 1920, Annenkov drew series of erotic drawings and watercolors including this famous study of a young woman at her toilet with her right breast exposed. It was published in Portrety [Portraits] (Petersburg: “Petropolis,” 1922), p 99. The woman’s initials “O. K.” are embroidered on her stocking. |
