Swab Barcelona Celebrates its 10th Anniversary     


From September 28th to October 1st 2017, the international contemporary art fair Swab Barcelona celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special edition. Consolidating itself as a reference fair in the independent panorama, it once again gathers international and local artists and galleries to showcase the most representative of the contemporary art scene.  
 
Its anniversary edition  close to 20,000 visitors, and a large number of curated projects, collectors programs, prizes, and activities that venture beyond fair walls to bring art to Barcelona locals. 

Swab Barcelona is a place to discover the artists who are pushing the boundaries of expression and tracing the course of the art scene for coming years. The artistic proposals of its curated programs provide an alternate viewpoint to the current art context:

FOCUS MEDITERRÁNEO / After the success of Magreb on Swab's 2016 edition, curator Xavier de Luca widens the focus to include the Mediterranean region, giving visibility to independent platforms that shine a light on the contrasts and links of the region and its issues.
