Last chance to win…

[18/10/2010]

On 28 September 2010 Artprice opened a Twitter account in order to offer its members a continuous flow of art market-related information. Via this medium Artprice can “broadcast” key information and latest art market news in real time, as a complement to its weekly art market analyses available under Art Market Insight on Artprice.com.

Coinciding with the publication (20 Octobre 2010) of Judith Benhamou-Huet’s book The world’s most expensive artworks in collaboration with Artprice, we are offering ten copies of the book as prizes on our Twitter account.

Le bassin aux nymphéas (1917-1919) – Claude Monet

To win a free copy of the book, all you have to do is guess how much Claude MONET’s Le bassin aux nymphéas will fetch (without buyer’s premium) at Sotheby’s New York sale Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale on 2 November next. Sotheby’s pre-sale estimate is 20 to 30 million dollars.

The Monet painting can also be viewed on our account Twitter.

In November 1998 the same painting fetched 9 million dollars at Sotheby’s in New York with a pre-sale estimate of $9 – 12 million. A similar work is also presented in The world’s most expensive artworks on page 24: Le bassin aux nymphéas (1919) sold £36 ,5m (71 846 600$) at Christie’s, London on June 2008.

You have until 2 November at 6pm to enter your “guesstimate” on Twitter by private message.
Only the first 10 to communicate the exact hammer price of Claude Monet’s painting will receive a free copy of The world’s most expensive artworks

Good luck!
