Comments: Came to NYC at the age of seventeen. Turned to art full time when the Weyhe Gallery began to represent him and give him a stipend. Produced a large body of works in a generalized realism which led to photography in the 1930s. Perhaps best known for his erotic works. Position: artist in residence, Univ. Iowa.
