Comments: Tenney was a farmer who turned to painting in his thirties. He worked as an itinerant artist in New Hampshire, as well as in NYC, Baltimore, and along the Mississippi (c.1856). He later moved to Winona (MN) and spent his last years at Oberlin (OH).
