The Others è un innovativo progetto espositivo internazionale, dedicato all’arte contemporanea emergente, l’ammissione è riservata alle gallerie, aperte dopo il 1 gennaio 2009 e indipendentemente dalla data d’apertura, possono partecipare artists-run-spaces e collettivi di artisti associati, centri non-profit, associazioni, fondazioni, premi per l’arte, residenze d’artista, scuole d’arte e accademie, librerie che si occupano di arte, spazi che si dedicano al design giovane e autoprodotto così come alla grafica d’artista, e in generale a tutti gli operatori che presentano un programma continuativamente dedicato agli artisti emergenti.La Direzione Artistica è affidata per il secondo anno a Olga Gambari in collaborazione con Roberta Pagani e Stefano Riba.
Quest'anno The Others è The Wild Side.Essere il lato selvaggio, quello più libero ovvero in divenire, non categorizzabile; il lato dell’arte e della sperimentazione che osa, che si mostra nella sua metamorfosi, con cambi di pelle e orientamenti imprevedibili.The Wild Side è una continua ricerca e la scoperta necessaria di un’immagine insolita, nuova, sorprendente, nascosta nel riflesso e nelle ombre dell’inaspettato.Oltre le definizioni e i generi, l'arte che partecipa a The Others cresce sul quel versante selvaggio, in bilico tra la volontà di essere e il desiderio di agire, tra intuizione e determinazione, dove le idee germogliano autonome in posti imprevedibili, lontane da luoghi e ambiti dedicati, vitali a un’unica condizione: la libera osservazione.

The Others is an innovative international exhibition project devoted to emergent contemporary art; only galleries opened after the 1 January 2009 can apply for participation and, regardless of the start-up date, admission is open for artists-run-spaces and collectives of associated artists, non-profit organizations, associations, foundations, art awards, artist residencies, art schools and academies , bookstores that deal with art, spaces dedicated to young and self-produced design or to artistic graphics and in general to all professionals presenting a program continuously devoted to emerging artists.The Others Artistic Direction is entrusted for the second year to Olga Gambari, in collaboration with Roberta Pagani and Stefano Riba.
This year, The Others is The Wild Side.Being the wild side, one or more free in the making, not to categorize; the side of art and experimentation that dares, which shows itself in its metamorphosis, with skin changes guidelines and unpredictable.The Wild Side is a continuous research and discovery required of an unusual, new, surprising, hidden in the shadows and the reflection of the unexpected.In addition to the definitions and genres, art that participates in The Others grow on the wild side, torn between the desire to be and the desire to act, including intuition and determination, where ideas germinate autonomous in unpredictable places, far away from places and areas dedicated to vital one condition: the free observation.
